The Lag and logging into the Game.

    I have the same problem. And if I do get into the game, it's frozen without chat. It is a waste of time and resources for a lot of people who truly love this game and have spent time and money on it. Our computer is top of the line and meant for gaming, (as my husband and I are big time gamers on and offline). The computer expert that checks out our computer not only built the computer for a wedding gift for us, he also maintains it on a regular basis. He said, quote:
    "The problem lies with BigPoint's inadequately maintained site. Not with you computer and definitely not your internet connections. I have more people in our area bringing in their computers and asking me if there's something wrong with their computers or internet connections because of the trouble their having with Pirate Storm. I tell them no, it has become an inadequately maintained site with not a single person on their end that gives a d.a.m.n about how the site has gone downhill. Sure they want the money, but no one is really keeping up with the high maintenance that's required to keep the site running properly."

    Like I said before, we're just talking to walls here, players. This problem has gone on for so long...years actually. People have posted in the forum numerous times about this problem. Nothing gets done...Nothing get solved. We as players are not being treated fairly any more for what we've put into this game. The players have become just a 'Cash Register' to this company...Nothing more.
    Until someone working for BigPoint with the capability and expertise to figure out ALL the problems we are up against, we as players, (if we truly love the game), have to just sit and wait and hope there is someone...anyone out there at BigPoint that can rescue this game from total oblivion.

    The development team are aware of this issue and are working to resolve it. Some issues can take longer to resolve than others. The best advice I can give so that all players can enjoy the game with a minimum amount of lag is to optimise their own systems by clearing their cache and flash cache and ensuring their flash player is up to date. This should help in reducing this issue to a minimum.

    This has gone on for over three years now! I'm sorry to be rude but, this matter couldn't take over three years to solve. It isn't something that has just come up in the past few months. We've had this issue for over three years. All the players have been more then patient for quite some time about this issue.
    We don't need to clear our cache...It's been done...Time and time again.

    You may have misundertsood my post. I'm afraid that I can only offer the means of assitance that are in my power to. My suggestions were in no way an undermining of this ongoing issue. It was simply a recommendation so as to minimize it's effects as these steps are tried and true.

  8. I'm am not sure what else needs to be said? It appears that BP is non-responsive to everyone that has called support in regards to this issue on the US1 Server. I have posted many times with detail description hoping to get answers from other players as to what the issue could be. I understand that this is a forum and not Technical Support. However, this is our only means of communicating our issues and yet, no response from Technical Support or anyone with high level of authority running this Game. The issue is definitely with US1 Server. If I log out and in to Europe, Deutschland, Arabia? No issue. Come back to US1 server and freeze for minutes at a time, Features drop in and out, Live chat is lost? Trouble logging in even. Very Strange how it only affects certain players and not others.

    If I hear clear Flash Cache one more time, I will lose my mind. We want some one from BP, with a technical background, to notify us exactly what the issue is with the US1 Server and what is being done about it? Either via email, or here on this forum. "Clear your Cache", "We are aware of the Problem", is not satisfactory anymore. Paying Customers want answers and we are not getting them? Normal companies go above and beyond to keep their customers happy and to actually retain the customer base they have? Doesn't appear to be the mentality for BP, at least on the US1 side. I get no response that shows me any indication that anything is being done. People who have put several years of playing time into this game are going to walk away. BP has offered no compensation, no technical communication explaining the issue/resolution. Zero communication back to loyal customers who demand a response.

    Well said. Thank-you for posting this. It is so true. Not one word has been spoken in the forums from BigPoint's Technical Advisors. Those are the people we need to hear from about this matter. We as paying customers are owed this courtesy from BigPoint. This server issue is so far out of control. Some of us are having trouble signing into the game. The forums are one source we have to voice our issues about US1 server in hopes that someone has the decency to read and acknowledge what we have been saying for years.
    We need answers. Not the ill-treatment we've put up with and the lack of communication from BigPoint's Technical Department.
     
  10. Like clock work. Every evening around 20:00-20:30 EST US Server, Freeze for minutes at a time, features drop out. Unable to play at this time. Why are we not getting feedback from the Technical Team @ BP? Once again, we are paying customers that are not getting any service? This is to the point where I am ready to bail out of this game. Right now, I could log-in to a different server and play but I would rather be playing on the US server. That's where all of my time money & resources are. How about BP gives us an option to copy our boat over to a different server until this problem is resolved? How about some technical feedback? Something? Read the threads, issues of freezing on the US server, all over the forum. Check the chat in the game, you will see this time of evening, players complaining of freeze and extreme lag. Very poor communication and customer service at this point.

  11. So Now, a new thing comes up. The wheel of death spins, but the bar of annoyance doesn't fill up. It's just at the begining of the bar, and it doesn't fill up no matter what i do. Any way i can make the bar of annoyance fill up? 2 days now, i can't log in. I can't miss the deck this Battleground offers.
     
  12. I am having the same issue. Started on Monday and has progressed. Takes 10 times as many attempts to log in. I managed to get logged in once or twice and I come out of port and my screen goes black! That's it. I left mine going on the spinning will for 5 minutes or more and got a new message I've never seen before, in red font "Unable to load resource-file (Code:3)". We are going backwards on performance issues!

    Finally got logged on and selected German 1 server and my boat is cruising around like a champ! No freeze, lag! In fact, I thought I had turned all effects off due to performance issues on US1 but they were actually still on and when I popped into the German server, they all started working properly! Water Spray, clouds, etc.! Go figure!

    Hours and many attempts, unable to access US1.

    We merged your posts due to them being identical to others you have made throughout the forums. Please refrain from spamming messages in different threads. You should be able to access the US1 server without encountering any error message .FrozenDeath..

    Are you still unable to log into the US1 server?

    well i do not know if us1 has serious problems
    but what i can say is that eu4 the lag issue is worse
    the funny thing is the same time the server has fewer and fewer players every day the lag is worse and worse!?!?!?!?

    last time game like that was 2 years ago in christmas holidays when everyone was playing the game due of the holidays
    but now why????

    i make the first login okey
    but then it is uncertain if i will do the second logging

    then i manage to login in the game to have something not loaded
    most annoying not loading the zone map and i can not use the vortex because it is not loaded :-(
    the ships and monsters are all white circles
    killed so many ahabs because i could not see the graphic of the ship

    and the latest best
    even if i am premium the mark of killed sometimes refuses to be loaded :-(

    and of course the usual froz in the game

    but to be fair there is a handpick players the chosen ones
    that seem to have no problem in the game

    call it map arena batleground they have no problem

    while you sit frozen 2 min in the battleground and just unfroze enough not to get log out from the battle
    the others finish the battle under 2min and i refer to anansi battleground.

    the problem is not just hard to log
    it is also the game is not loading correct
    and the lag issues in the game

    And so the lag continues to get worse. I can't even login to the game at all. It takes over 2hrs of trying and then, if I can login the game does not load properly. Harbor is transparent, ships are all white circles, and islands are white blobs, NPC's are frozen and don't move. Then, if you ever get the harbor to load, the workshop is blank. Click on inventory and the wheel spins and nothing comes up. Even the chat window fails to load most all of the time.

    This has been going on since the end of November. The lag and freeze problems continue to be an issue and Big Point knows about them, yet they fail to be able to solve them. There is no way to play battlegrounds because you don't know if you'll be able to move your ship or not.

    Big Point needs to look into why their servers can not handle the load of players that are online at the same time. Also, look into their internet connection speeds. It is way too obvious that with so many players having the same issue, it is NOT the users computers but in fact a Big Point issue.

    This is totally unacceptable for a company to supply a product as broken as this.

  17. Apologize for posting on different threads similar messages. All are related & just wanted to share my experience and issues with others having the same issues/problems. There are several threads out there for the lag and freeze issue. Do we now have a central Lag/Freeze/Log-in Issues Thread?

    wish players would give bigpoint time to find and fix the problem instead of going on about it all the time there is only so much they can do
