Reset pvp points

A reset in pvp points would be awesome this upcoming new years, it seems the top players stay on top cause they "bribe" other players. I think a reset would allow more people chances at orcas, hades figureheads and more.

 

I don't think that would be right. Being among older players shows loyalty to the game for a long time and they deserve to keep their PvP points untouched. For many old players took a lot of time to accumulate enough points to get the awards... I don't see the reason to reset those points punishing them and doing a favor to new players. Stay in line and work hard like we did, that's the answer. Instant gratification is not fun.

 

at least first 100 players pvp points should be reseted to the 101 player points, every year

 

While it would be unfair to erase the older player's PVP it is also disingenuous to imply that new players just need to do what the older players did. The older players did not advance in the same sort of environment that now exists and thus they had a huge advantage over today's players.
The reason we keep seeing suggestions like this is because of the very obvious situations that make it completely untenable to obtain the same levels as the older players who effectively had it easy by comparison to the almost impossibility of today. To claim otherwise is to deny reality.
There are other solutions, but it will cause some older players to complain since it would involve making certain rewards available at lower level of achievements.

 

While the top pvp players may have had an advantage when they first started, they are now at a extreme disadvantage, as they do not get anywhere near as many pvp points as the lower ranks.

 

Except PVP to top players is not really of all that much value. Besides, I'm not sure what advantage it is supposed to be giving newer players that the older have not already enjoyed themselves when THEY were newer themselves.. Point is that they did not have to do nearly as much to attain the same goals. So to tell newer players to just suck it up and do what the older players did is still disingenuous since doing the same thing now will not result in equal rewards, not even close.

 

how about they just split the pvp into four groups? the top 100 compete, then 101-400 and 401-700 and 701-1000 all are put into those separate groups and the pvp remains the same, however instead of competing for 1 orca deck,4 pirates can get it now
