No way to clear Outbox in Game Profile?

Why is there not a way to clear messages from your Outbox under Game profile like you can clear Inbox?

Messages are automatically cleared by the system after an unspecified period of time. They cannot be deleted manually incase a player sends abusive messages which require review and appropriate action taken.

Is there anything else we can help you with?

 

Mine go back over a year. Is there really an unspecified time, or is it just whenever someone in tech support gets around to their last priority on list of things to do. (I am not being sarcastic here; just asking a realistic question.)

 

Yup I have all my outbox messages since starting this game, which is very close to a year. "Unspecified period of time" is right after pigs fly.

 

I'm afriad we are not privy to the information as to when or how the mechanism for clearing the outbox functions however I know that it most definately does occur. It may require your outbox to reach a maximum number of mails before this occurs possibly.
