  1. For over one year now, the only new Battle Field Big Point implemented was Anansi, and it was somewhat interesting to see NPCs involved. I thought i would develope this ideea and come up with a different kind off battle field where the lead could be taken by players who make most damadge with harpoons therefore ahabs would be most in advantage due tu their velocity and large harpoon numbers (tasks will also involve passing a reef labirinth where speed matters) and frost brands would be in the second due tu they hybrid construction involving large numberes of harpoon launchers and cannons)

    Aim of the game: Kill enemy mosters that want to enter Building complexes that look like an Igloo situated at the sides of the map, players can use harpoons as well as rockets to reduce the number of npc monsters: eagle tallon, spider and dragon storm rockets are most efficient since monsters atack in tight packs. Once one of the the building is full of monsters (ex.:200 monsters) the team looses.

    Most classes of ships cannot get too close to the monsters as a reef barrier rises between them and the invading seamonsters. Ships have to pass an elaborate labirinth in order to get to a position suitable for monster hunting, i tried to make a MAP of the EVENT but since i am not good at digital graphics i did the best i could in Paint, please excuse the roughness of the image, it is the ideea that i wanted eveybody to understand, not to make a work of art.

    Monsters are invading in a way that resembles a stream: more concentrated in the centre and diluted at the sides. Monsters wil not fight each other , they will only atack the boats shooting them. Sitting on the safe side of the bank, away from enemy cannons or rockets may allow you to hunt safely but inefficiently. There are 3 points where large ships can interract with one another (which i marked with: C – cannon range and R – rocket range) resembling a gulf where the palyers get closer to the stream of monsters so they are more efficient but they also expose them selves to enemy fire. Different tactics may be developed here: combining teams of ahabs with heavy cannon ships. one aiming the monstes, the other providing their security.

    Two classes of ships would be allowed to pass the reef barier: brigantines / war brigantines: they can get right inside the stream of monsters and fire at will, just be careful not to get too close to enemy fire, as one shot would be enough to make you start all over the labirinth race. The sloops will not only be able to pass the reef barrier into the monster stream but in a desperate attept to keep situation under control, can also pass a second reef barier that surrounds the igloo building where the monsters rally, monsters killed here ensure extra bonus points (tripple the normal amount) . Here no enemy ships can enter so they have to fight only with the gathering monsters. However, in order to get there, sloops have to expose themselves to enemy fire as the have to march all the way of the battlefield coastline before reaching the enemy igloos. Covering fire and shock rockets from alies at the C and R ponits over enemy forces can be decisive int he outcome of their task, or with a little luck they can teleport there. Sloops cannot enter their own igloo fort to clear out the infiltrated enemy sloops, they can only guard the entrance of the building, luckily they can get there relatively fast.

    The building that reaches first maximum number of monsters decides the outcome of battle and the medal is awarded considering the following: the number of killed monsters, sinked players, and total damadge as well as different bonus points. Killing a monster should give enough reward points so one even fighting with a sloop: using rockets and special harpoons could have enough chances to win a medal. It would be interesting to see how many players would tune up their sloops with summer and power of Eagle sets: bulk heads and so far.

    As an inovation, at the beging of the labirinth there should be a harbor point where palyers could change ships.

    The monsters will have a large variety: first will have low HP : (under 400),and minute damadge hits , later there will come monsters with higher HP (1000-1500), the 4 or 5 th wave should also have acid spewer monsters, 7 th wave: dragons, and finaly 8 th wave: The Stone Collos which will surely end the torment of the battle. Delaying the Stone Collos would be a key turn int he outgoing of the battle field, then again, hitting the monster is a guarantee that you will be shot at with freezing hits and also for serious damadge intake. Proceed with caution, First and Last player who shots the Collos get a consistent reward bonus. Since sloop and brigantines have no restriction, they have this chance. but they should be aware that they are on a suicide mission. The one who shots first should get a more consistent reward.

    At two certain points (C-cannon range) players can engage in combat one other but without having the chance to chase each other, at third point (R-rocket range) players cannot shoot cannons but can fire rockets at each other Freezing damadgeing, decreasing each other’s harpoon and rocket range or slowing down one another. Basically they can only shoot at ships that atack mosnters charging for the buildings, once killed, a player has to go an elaborate labirinth to get back to firring positions. It is advisable for a player to draw back and repair instead of wasting time getting back ont he front line, blood donors and protective buffs are of great help here. One can choose to shot either ships either monsters buti f monsters are neglected, they will tear down the building complex and the team looses. sloops should be the only boats small enough (to be allowed) to pass the restricted front line straight into the monster stream wich is on most of its lenght out of the harpoon and rocket range of players

    Monsters will contue gathering in the building complexes, the many survive, the more they vill rally into the fortress quickly filling it up. Monsters of different teams will not engage each other and nor will the players, unless they atack first.

    On the duration of the event special event Ammunition and Harpoons should be available for 2 000 diamonds.

    Consumable items of the event:

    Rocket recharger (reduces latency of rockets down to 2-5 seconds) more rockets can be discharged in the same interval of time

    Bretherein Strenght: once activated increases for 5 seconds the rocket damadge (+ 2000) and the harpoon range (+120) of friendly units situated in the imediate vecinty of the ship that activated this buff, this has no efect on self however but some bonus "team spirit" points are awarded for. Lets see how players can work in team and are they willing to give up the chance to win a medal for the common vitory of the group !

    Foe Wreking : (duration 10 seconds) rocket with range effect, decreases range (-50%) and power (-50% )of enemy ships’ harpoons. Rocket ranges are reduced to 50%. However, they themselves have a short range so they have to be fired from a close position prefereably from cloacking mode (sloops and war brigantines can use them efficiently) Lets see how players are willing to initate into kamikaze actions for the common welth of the goup. once the fire the Foe Wreck, the become visible and therefore the closest enemy target available.

  2. Wonderfull idea and nicely written - A battleground where it is a mix between PvP and PvE sounds like a lot of fun, its be like playing ''a classic tower defense game'' with a twist. Futhermore, giving slops and other ships another function is great and the items are very creative (the stats may need to change a bit I think 50 % may be OP) - but the rocket recharger, love it, just being able to pump tons and tons of rockets would be of great fun! If BP implants such an innovative idea of a Battleground, I would pay lots just to enter it or even donate something to u for getting it into the game, if the idea becomes a reality.

I am glad you like it , i do hope Big Points also sees some fantasy in it, a lot of items (especially range rokest: eagle talon, spider and dragon rokets) that weren't sold so far could be purchased now for a sound pupouse, and some variety is expexted in this game where new things are yet to come. Nevertheless the programers will have a lot of headake making even the map not to mention the rest of the action, remember, some ships can use teleport and can get vitually anyvhere (except theri own base) whilst others have a rather more limited range so ... I hope they will not press charges to bann me for "stupid ideeas" :p
