New 'Big' Update

I honestly hope this isn't the whole update, while yes, the new 'Loadout' feature is nice, I don't see the need for it. The new sets don't seem as powerful as our current ones, and even interfere with them. Don't get me wrong, Loadout has its uses, but its not game changing or 'Big' or something I believe the overall community will go nuts over. Just seems like its a cash grab on BPs account.

 

No, i think this is it, the "Big" update.

 

Honestly it is pretty big.. it could(assuming BP puts in the effort) be the beginning of Pirate Storm: Revamped
Lot's of possibilities with it.

 

Wedge what has happened to the big news and updates that were promised to be relished on July/6/2016? we all have been waiting patiently for them and now the time has come and passed. Why is this constantly being done? Does BP thing that by making up a fake update announcement will keep us all appeased for the time being or until we forget about it? BP seems to be run by incompetent developers that only care for the money they can get. Prove me wrong BP and i will gladly issue an apology. But until then all your loyal fans will never trust you. Wedgwood this has nothing to do with you , you do an excellent job and can only give us the info you receive. One last thing Wedge please see to it that your higher up sees this letter it will show them that 1. we cant trust then, and 2.they had better be prepare to lose players and maybe a server. Thank you Wedge.

 

I think the update would be well received if the team said ''We are truly sorry for all the problems lately, heres a small free update as an excuse'' and then it would cost no diamonds to change sets in two loadout slots. This is indeed a cash grabber update. 10k diamonds to change sets, when you already paid around 100k for the set? next ''loadout slot'' 25k? Come on BP, I can't believe it. In every, and I say in every other RPG game, browser, Pc you name it, it would be completely free to change gear on your playable character. Here it first costs 10k diamonds to get the opportunity to change gear around. Why? We already give more than enough for the items? Do you forget that the browser games consist of many casual players that only buy small or medium amounts of diamonds? What about us, this isnt a game for the casual player anymore only the hardcore gamers that uses lots of time to first get the coins to the items and then lots of money to get the items and now lots of time/money to change it around? Its a smart business strategy, to forget about all the new players or small paying players, and only suck the wallets dry of only the most hardcore of uses in this dying bugged game.

 

really who cares about loadouts i dont i think its a dumb way to go when there are so many things that need to be fixed its just bp trying to get more money from a dieing game

 

I wouldn't mind if all the sets had advantages...but as it is right now, one set is better than the rest and I don't see a need to even change sets.

 

BP is doing the one thing every MMO must try to avoid: unnecessarily complicating the game. This makes the game so much more complicated, which is already very hard for a new player to learn (albeit simple to us experienced players). This further makes the game even more overwhelming to new players and has no benefit, it doesn't make the game any more gripping.

But to the fools complaining that this is a money grabber update...really? You think if they were just going for money they would make, as they have, these new sets weaker than the current ones? If just for the money they would make the new sets stronger so that all serious players have to switch their eagle/summer sets over to the new stuff.

 

They wouldn't have put it in if it wasn't going to make them money, just how it is. I fail to see how they think this is going to make them money, I don't see any player with a full eagle set wasting the diamonds to spend on the newer sets when the eagle set is much much better.

 

Yes they would make the set weaker as the current ones. Players that dosent have the best of the best is trying to get stronger fastest and to do so they are first going for the set easiest to obtain, the new sets, which requires 200 coins. The best requires something like 1000 coins and need lots of time, when you can get the new for 1/5 of the time. They will buy it. Now they can farm up to buy the best set. So before the players would just suck it up and farm for the best, now there is a middleway. Its like going from walking around to driving a car, many people buy a bike first and use money to get the car afterwards. So yes, im still a fool, who believes this is a money grabber update. That players actually will use hard earned diamonds on this, that is hard to say.

 

The only problem with this update is the fact that you can decrease the reload time so much (-36% from set, -37% from orders, -15% from lodos, -15% from arena) that people could basically shoot non stop- in fact you could have -103% reload speed... this will BREAK THE GAME, lodos and anasi will finish under a minute, fights will end in seconds, arenas would completely rely on lunars, guild islands will be impossible to defend and all the strategy that had ever been in this game will disappear. Why bp?
