Suggestion Major Update Idea (1): Player Islands

  1. Hey Forum

    The game need something fresh and im here to give inspiration to BP, entertain u guys and kill some time. My first idea to a major update: Players Islands.

    Note: the idea's are based on a game that dosent lag.

    The concept is like guild islands, but just for 1 player. The map is much smaller and the player has the opportunity to invite other players in. The map contains a main building, shipyard, mines, barracks, storage.

    Main building: This would be your base of operations. Here you can do all the things you can normally do in a harbor. A new thing is that you can upgrade other buildings or buy decorations for your island. Also you can see your Pirate Storm statistics here.

    Shipyard (new concept): Here other players can see your ships, inventory and seal tree.

    Mines (new concept): There is a gold mine and a diamond mine, that gives u a small sum of gold and diamonds per day.

    Barracks (new concept): Here u can buy NPC's you can send to other player Islands to cause destruction or train your own pet defender, guarding the island. Note: Can only be active if you set your island to aggressive.

    Storge (new concept): Store all unwanted items in it.

    Inspiration for idea: In many games the player has a form of own safezone. The safezone will here work as a break from the repetitive gameplay. The player will have the opportunity to make it like a home with decorations and upgrading it from nothing to an impressive stronghold. Another implant much needed is inspecting other players to simply boast or discuss idea's. Mining is implanted to make the player visit the Island daily. Storage give a temporally cure to all the items in inventory. I got the inspiration to Barracks from a mod from a game, where you have heroes on each side of a wall and then you send monsters to eachother until theres a losing team (can also work as a Bg in this game).

    Nice idea, something extra to work towards. i was thinking of an extra map (possibly branching off from the player island) that you can have just for yourself with npcs that you can farm, starting off very weak with minor gold,exp and box rewards but you will have the ability to upgrade their strength for better loot. upgrading them would be a challenging and slow process of course. is this too big of an advantage?
     
  3. Thanks for input - Yeah, that might work, but it needs to have more of a change from ocean farming. Maybe there would be some advantage problems because you can farm unlimited with no hindrance 24/7 and I think botting becomes much harder to spot, with no other players to look.

    Maybe make it like a daily mini bonus map or maybe make the respawn rate slower than ocean? - I like the idea to be able to upgrade the minions in the map, Its fun to have some farming element, which you can upgrade overtime (and that is used in many other browser games). BP could also make it a test area for new NPC's or NPC abilities.

    The idea rejects itself starting from the first "Note". I quote: "The ideas are based on a game that dosen't lag"...are you kidding? But it's a good idea. ;)
     
  5. To bad you are not employed by Big Point Frank, you have some good ideas. It is a darn shame not a one will be looked at let alone implemented. :(
     
  6. BP might go for Frank's idea if the Player's island's production could be added to the Player's Guild island. So instead of using only guild gold, the players' islands would support it. Just a thought. Excellent idea Frank.
     
  7. Pirates live in groups not alone like a lone ranger. I disagree! :p
