    A time in each day(it could rotate...1 o'clock today, 2 tomorrow etc.) when the water is laced with deadheads & rocks a ship may hit...
    hitting one could have varying effects...
    examples
    rocks could cause a temporary slowing of a ship
    deadheads a poison like effect...damage/second until 0hp or 'X' amount of time

    but...for your bravery in venturing into such waters...all loot boxes collected during low tide have bonus amount of loot
     
  2. hmm...actually low tide and/or dead wind. we already have those annoying clouds that float around but do absolutely nothing, could make them the sign that this area of the zone is fraught with danger--enter at your own risk: reduced speed and reduced visibility. Don't need to make bigger boxes or treasure--keep it as it is--this just adds a bit of a challenge that can appear periodically in all zones. could even have wharf quests set up for these areas, ongoing quests that never end. Many high level players miss tavern quests, I know I do.
