  1. Hi Everyone

In some of the maps it states "Attacks in the same ship class are allowed"

This seems like it is your level that makes a difference and nothing to do with what ship class your in.
If it's a level thing, then what is the level bracket for other players being able to fire on you in these maps?

    Many thanks

Der Flufkins1, while you are researching this information, you might raise a related suggestion about what one player can see about other players on the open seas. At the present when we select another player on the sea, we can only see their name and their current HP number. We cannot see what their level is to know if they are allowed to engage.

  5. Their level is in the parentheses before their name. ie (34) Fred_Filthy

Also my experience is you can engage anyone plus or minus 4 levels from you. i.e. I can engage 30-38

What I've found out so far:

    - It states that in limited PvP area that you can assault players with similar ship class, which, so far as I've noticed, is a false statement.
    - Level ranges of attacking other players differ on different maps. The higher you go, the wider the range becomes, until eventually it's all out PvP where a level 40 player can attack a level 1.

In Zones 5-6 you can only attack someone who is within two PvE levels of you.
In Zones 7-8 you can only attack someone who is within four PvE levels of you.
In Zones 9-10 you can only attack someone who is within eight PvE levels of you.
In Zones 11-12 you can only attack someone who is within eight PvE levels of you.

As for the "Attacks in the same ship class are allowed" in some Limited PvP zones, i am sill looking into this for you.

  10. Great stuff, thanks very much for all the info and for looking into this for me further Fuffkins. Also thanks to Tharokh too.

    Cheers :)
