I have always been told that speaking anything but English in USA1 server will get you chatbanned, but lately it has been several people with different languages and nothing is being done. Was I told wrong? It is annoying when all I can understand is English. I suggest if they use another language to keep it in their guild chat or in a whisper.

    Hi,

You are correct. Use of non-english is indeed bannable. If you wish, feel free to forward any evidence of such circumstances to the Customer Care Team for further investigation. You can do so by clicking Here. Remember to include the time that these instances occur at in your contact along with any relevant information you have corning the matter.

Is there anything else we can help you with? :)

Honestly...I have to confirm what LOBER exposed in his post, but....come on! I saw Russians SOMETIMES speaking Russian, Germans speaking SOMETIMES German, Japaneses speaking SOMETIMES Japanese...US1 is a server needing all the possible players at the present moment. I really don't think that is a major problem even though in terms of stated rules is not proper. I hope LOBER will reconsider. My best and thanks go to anybody around the World chose to play on US1. :)

  4. Yes, this is true. However I must agree with EddyJazz, its really not that serious. US1 is low on players, and while english is the official language in the US many other languages are spoken. I don't see the problem either. People always talk about US1 server "dying" but yet we want to ban people and have less players.

  5. I have to agree that this is not a serious issue. It is relatively rare and never overwhelms global. Considering that the signal to noise ratio of what we read there in English is already fairly minimal, a few messages in another language hardly detracts. There are already a lot of conversations on there that are not relevant to everyone that a few more messages that are not relevant makes no real difference.

  6. I also agree its not a problem among the USA server. And as for the server dying its true. When i first started you would find 15 to 30 new people in z1. Now if you see one new player that's a lot. And the players who have been playing since the start are now leaving one by one for other games, Why? because BP wants to keep the game stagnant. If BP would introduce new and exciting things in the game you could see a turn around. Why not more zones, raise the guild and player lvls as well as listen to the ideas players have, Most are rather good ideas. Please BP wake up and see the game is dying before its buried.

I don't think it's the relevance or noise ratio that BP is concerned about. BP wants to market this as a game that is OK for kids, and therefore they want to keep the language in chat clean. Not only do they want to avoid cursing in English (which their mods sometimes try to regulate), they would like to avoid cursing and general "potty talk" in other languages. Since the mods may not read those languages, they ask that players restrict their conversations to English.
