I currently use guild letter 50's to keep my level relatively low at 37.My question is do I get more skull points and higher rank awards if i sink higher rank players while I'm a lower level or is it the same if I was level 50 for example.I would like to get a higher level say 50 to increase my ship damage dealt for instance.

    Hello rodgie72,

After you reach Level 35 you cannot collect loot, etc. below zone 13. To gather boxes and gold when shooting NPCs you must be in OPEN PVP Areas (z13-32). In those areas, you are subject to being sunk by any level of ship. However, as you level, you receive personal achievements which allow you to update Captains Orders, Seals for Scrolls of Power, and more Hit Points. The choice to level or not is always at the discretion of the player.

The pvp and skulls you receive for sinking a ship are based upon your Total PVP Rank and the ship that you are in and their Total PVP Rank and the ship that they are sailing. The level of the player does not matter with PVP and skulls. One way to gauge how much PVP you may/may not receive is by looking at the headdress above the ship. This will indicate what rank a boat is in the Total PVP Rank. For instance, if two Level 37 Dhukas sank each other and one had a gold crown and the other a gold anchor, the ship with the gold crown would lose more PVP points and gain back less than the ship with the gold anchor. The ship with the gold anchor would lose less and gain more PVP points. The skulls would be the same because both were in Dhukas.

Is there anything else we may help you with?
