    Hi,

Thank you Fred_Filthy for the ingenious methods you have suggested. :p
Ⓡ㊚♥₣ŘẰήΚẰή$Ť|ή∑♥㊚Ⓡ is correct. Oak can be obtained via training in the workshop. This is the primary method of getting it. More specifically, 10 minute and 30 minute training sessions have the potential to give oak. Occasionally this can also be rewarded as a by-product while upgrading your weaponry.

Is there anything else we can help you with? :)

If I got oak doing that I didn't notice it. Because I'm all out of oak I can't do any more training, hence my question.

  5. Smart-azz remarks aside. you can do more training even if you do not need it to increase Weapon Mastery XP. So probably it is still a way to increase your oak supply. I was not aware of it since it has been so long since I've done any training and did not remember.

note: I just tried it and got a bunch of brimstone for a couple of 10 minute trainings, but I'm guessing it is random.

Not intended here; I was on another game that has an obvious inventory problem and I get (edit) trying to lecture me on the subject.

    >if you do not need it to increase Weapon Mastery XP.

    Did that already--maxed it out.

    >I just tried it and got a bunch of brimstone for a couple of 10 minute trainings,

So, we only get oak through training, can't find it?

Can you imagine this game "merged" with (edit) (with its skills levels, finding raw materials and manufacturing finished goods, etc.?)

You can also get 8 oak by completing the "Coast Guard" quest from the Tavern. The particulars of completing that quest change from day to day, but today that quest is all located in the Gusty Cliffs zone.

  8. Sorry, I was referring to my own remarks, not yours. Mine may have been deleted before you read them. But they did include the useful comment about doing the Coast Guard quest as GreatBeard just noted as well.

Also, you can still do more training even though you have maxed out your levels (5) and get materials. Though I just tried it and got a lot of brimstone and a little hemp. I think it is random so I expect oak shows up as well.

My apologies. I neglected to mention in my post that Oak could also be gained via quests found in the Tavern (after entering port and opening the quest window) as stated by Greatbeard and Fred_Filthy in their posts.

Do you have any further questions regarding this aspect of the game we can help you with DingBat? :)

I haven't seen a quest yet that gave me oak--may have done it and I didn't notice.
I only have four quests available and some involve traveling through VERY dangerous seas! I've been killed enough, thank you very much.

The quest Coast Guard gets you 8 oak--I have over 40 cannon I wanted to upgrade.

I did notice that the map is off. The bottom edge of Byrades is Oasis, not Angarus.

-- It is the Coast Guard quest that is being referenced. Also the Roped In Quest will give 2. Coast Guard today is in a relatively benign map (Zone 11 - Gusty Cliffs).

-- That is the oak quest everyone is talking about. Suggest do more training just for the material.

-- Weird about the map, working fine for me: Byrades -> Angoras -> Oasia

  12. What would you need oak for anyway?
