good ability idea.

    i suggest whenever a player uses an ability effects will be made. for example you use gremlins curse your ship shoots a green spirit to the other ship. and when u use calico jacks qualm your ship shoots out a chain shot to slow the other ship down. and when u use might of the laffites your harpoon and cannon shots are on fire. something like that.

    its not as laggy as (edit) anyway/. it's only laggy at your server.
