I've been playing some time now, and I've noticed that the global chat is very empty. I've checked different languages, to see if their Global Chat is more active, but it wasn't the case. Anybody knows how come? I've also noticed there are rarely any chat moderators, because there aren't any needed, cause nobody uses Global or...? I play on Europa-2. I've met one moderator, named Sarah, and that was the only one in Global chat.

idk about europe 2 but i know USA1 server is usually pretty active and occasionally fluff comes and talks. i think it might just be that there are a lot of different languages in euro servers.

    Hi,

Global chat can be used by anyone provided they obey the rules outlined. A lack of activity may be due to the time you are online in relation to other players. To view the rules for in-game chat click Here. Additionally many people use Team Speak or other VOIP services for voice communication rather than typing in the chat.

Is there anything else I can help you with?

Yes, you can. How do you contact ships you see on the sea? Everytime I try the command "/w playername" which doesn't seem to work.

You can do so by using the following syntax:

    /w playername yourmessage

It is important to note that the player's name must be typed exactly as it is displayed ie. using the correct upper-case and lower-case lettering and other characters involved for the message to work.

You can also whisper a player if they have recently spoken in chat by clicking their name and selecting the whisper option from the menu that appears. Click Here for further information on In game chat commands.

Is there anything else I can help you with? :)
