Doubts regarding Forum [ Buttons ]

    i have few - Doubts regarding Forum [ Buttons ]

    there are 3 doubts

    1. Inbox - Conversations
    Conversations allow you to exchange messages with other members directly.
    [ how to converse ?to a member -user
    how to send message directly to a user [ member

    2. Follow User -- clicking follow user -what happens ?
    how to follow the user ?

    3. how to check the messages sent by a user
    eg - if i want to see few messages or proposal made by a user ?
    if i click - eg [show mesages - post -threads made by user
    i can be able to follow his/her post & leave my comments

    Hi vino,

    The conversations /inbox aspect of the forums is currently disabled. With regards to 'following' a forum participant, this feature means that you will receive an update in your news feed when that user has posted something on the forums. Alerts notify you of new posts made in forums and specific threads you have chosen to 'watch'. Users can leave messages on your profile also, if you have this feature enabled. To change the settings for these features, navigate to your profile page and select the appropriate option from the list on the left hand side of the window.

    & yes - i have seen - alerts working [i am receiving the updates of post & threads]


    follow user -where is news feed - ?
    [ how can i leave a message on others profile ?

    & thanks in advance for your time & efforts

    The news feed can be found by clicking on your profile name at the top right corner of the forums page, then by clicking the second tab on the left hand side of the new screen that appears, titled 'news feed'.

    No inconvenience whatsoever vino. I noticed that you asked in the post #3 above and I missed it in my answer. To leave posts on someone else's profile page you can navigate to their profile by clicking on their name and then their name again in the pop up window that appears. This will take you to their profile page where you can post. However this is limited to members who allow others to view their profile and view posts on their profile also. If you are unable to post on someones profile, or see their profile it is due to that member's privacy settings.
