Damage suggestion

    My suggestion is to make a setting on the ship's damage.
    I do not know if it happens to everyone but for example,
    I shot about 400 damage at least with stone cannonball
    when I put steel cannonball, I shot around 1200 damage at least 1500 and at most.
    This makes no sense because the steel ammunition is 10x causes more damage then was to have every shot, some 4000 of damage at least.

    the damage you do is based
    number of cannonsX (base value of cannon + ammo value) x scatter
    so if you are new player in piranha
    you have 55 lets say 10 pounders 9 damage 70%
    you shoot with stone thats 1 damage
    so your max is if all cannons hit

    55 x (9 +1)= 550 max
    your minimum will be that 70% will miss max scatter so that is equal to 30% hit

    550 x0.3 = 165

    so you shoot 165 -550 which will give you an average of 358

    now with steel
    55x (9+10)= 55x19= 1045 max damage

    and the min will be 1045x0.3= 314

    314- 1045 with steel with an average of 680

    while the steel cannonballs are 10 times stronger than the stone
    the game calculates the damage according to power of cannonballs + base value of cannon

    so from 1+9 10 for stone you go to 10+9=19 for steel
    which is a bit shy under 2x more damage

    if you use in the example better cannons more base value and you add also the bonus from the seals
    then you will see the difference even smaller
    bombastic cannon base 19 full perforator +6 for cannonballs

    so stone 19+6+1=26
    steel 19+6+10 =35 from 26 to 35 thats 35% rise

    I understand but for example
    I have 51 caliber cannons 18
    cannon damage: 15
    Dispersion: 50%
    And 9 caliber cannons 10
    Damage cannon: 9
    Dispersion: 70%
    I own an item that decreases the spread by 10%
    then the calculation is:
    51 x 15 x 0.6 = 459
    9 x 9 x 0.4 = 32.4
    Total damage minimum: 491.4 for stone bullets
    so if I choose bullets of iron that is double damage against the stone, he should have a minimum damage: 982.8
    Being that I shot some 600-982
    That is, the least it was for me to take damage, ends up being the maximum damage.
    But that does not make sense, you know?

    well it makes sense because the damage its not about the cannonballs
    but it is about the cannonballs and the damage of the cannon plus if you have seals

    yes i know you see the cannonballs you see how much stronger they are but you do not see that huge difference in the game

    then the calculations used to find the maximum and minimum damage only serve to stone bullets, the other the calculation does not serve.
    In other words, it is a misleading advertising.

    your calculations are off
    the figurehead the reduction in scatter is not in 1 to 1 base but a percentage
    that means the -105 scatter for the 18 pounder is 10% of 50% scatter a reduction of 5% so scatter is 45%
    and for the 10 pounder is 10% of 70% scatter so it is 7% reduction in scatter so scatter is 63%

    51x (15+1) x 0.55 = 449 min
    9 x (9+1) x 0.37 = 33 min
    total 482

    51x (15+10)x 0.55 = 701 min steel
    9x (9+10) x 0.37 = 63 min steel
    total min steel 704

    in your calculations you do not add base cannon value +plus cannonball

    51x (15+2)x0.55 = 477 min iron
    9 x (9+2) x 0.37 = 37 min iorn
    total min iron 514

    51x (15+2) = 867 max iron
    9x (9+2)= 99 max iron
    total max iron 966

    and you said you shoot 600-982
    maybe your min is higher because you use gunpowder??? or you did not shoot many times to actually see the min??
    because the calculations say for iron to be 514- 966 with no gunpowder and not factoring the critical hits because then you do even more damage

    the damage is not going to be only the cannonballs
    it is base cannon value+ cannonballs value+ bonus form seals
    all this 3 factors are used to calculate how much you shoot

    the faster your understand this the better

    is the value of Cannon damage + damage from the bullet.

    maybe if the calculation of the cannon damage and bullet damage was multiplied
    or else increase the gold and diamonds from the NPC's in all areas

    where is the stone cannonballs damage?? in your calculation??

    and then you go and say 459 for stone , iron is 2 times as stone so iron should hit 912!?!?!?

    51x (15+1+0) x 0.55 = 449 min stone
    51x (15+2+0)x0.55 = 477 min iron

    thats the correct formula and yes the formula works and give the range of values that you experienced

    51 is the number of cannons
    15 is the base value of cannon
    1 the damage of stone, 2 the damage of iron
    0 the bonus you get from seals
    0,55 is the maximum cannons that will hit

    I'm just saying that if the damage was multiplied by Cannon damage,
    make the game much more attractive ...

    level 1 base damage 1
    level 2 base damage 2
    level 3 base damage 3

    so difference is 2 for level 1 and level 3

  13. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ It works with Firefox too. The language is German, you can use an online translator, cut and paste whole sections and it will translate--then pop in your numbers. i am thinking that this is an older calculator from PS before even the ahab was added because it is asking you about some items that I don't think we have anymore available. It also can't figure out your damage against an ahab as that was not configured in the questions for the calculator.
