Client for Pirate Storm Issues - Post All Issues in This Section Only

    New day seems to throw it for a loop----needed to relaunch the program.

  2. This evening, I was happily sailing around the waters, minding my own business, when new day struck! My ship stopped as though frozen to the water, the screen went transparent white, and Windows reported the program was not responding. This continued until I killed and restarted the client, and logged back in -- second try. By this time, NPC's had sunk my ship. Fortunately I was not in a bonus map.

    Unverified, but it also seems to me that the new client is more likely to "miss a mouse click" than the old Flash web client.

    Update: At 9:11 PST, it happened again. This time I was in the Flaming Blade map. The client froze and went non-responsive. I'll leave it up overnight to see if it comes back.

  3. Update to previous update. Client was still frozen in the morning. I restarted the client and logged in. I was unable to get a "loading" bar in about five reload's, so restarted again -- side note: Having the client remember the username and maybe password will make this less onerous. Also the continual demands for acceptance of the privacy policy are a pain -- still no loading bar. I entered the game on the web client, was told my play session had expired, and then was able to enter on the new client.

    Another data point: When I pressed "Play" on the web client, I was given an Ad before the game loaded. This may relate to the failures to get on on the new client.

  4. 7:22 am PST. Client crashed again, as soon as the first wave of critters began to gather in Flaming Blade. This will lose me my last life on that BM. I'd like it back, please. I think for anything non-reversible, I'll be using the Web Client for a bit.

    Tried to login---got spinning wheel, bar, and then instead of loading got told---your play session has expired, please login to continue, so I hit OK. It put me back to the screen with the play button and no where to log in to continue.

    Hello - when I tried to download Pirate Storm Launcher it says not available for MAC OS. Is this being looked into? Will I have to stop playing?

    We are still awaiting a reply concerning if a specific Launcher will be available for Mac Computers.

    Generally, the issue described her is related to a slow connection. It might be necessary to hit the F5 button to reload your game. In addition, it may be necessary to close programs that may be running in the background.

    Please be patient with the preliminary release of the Launcher. Please refer to the Announcement concerning the different release plans before the Final version is released.

    Each player still has the option to hit the x to remove the Launcher popup and enter the game normally for their respective servers.

    Ahoy Pirates,

    The Announcement has been updated to reflect the following information that was received from the Development Team:

    Recommended System Configuration

    Windows 8 or higher, 4 GB RAM, 2 GB of disk space, DSL/Cable

    These are the system requirements for an optimal experience. The minimum requirements to run the game are lower.

    The following systems aren’t supported:
    Mac OS
    Windows XP
    Windows Vista

    well, it was nice to almost get logged in after a couple of days with nothing. Maybe everyone is trying to log on at once. Nice to see the spinning wheel anyway. :/

    logged on through the old google and it worked fine and will try new a little later. Looked like only one other person was logged in.

    us1 Tuesday, still not able to log on with the new version. Gets to the spinning helm and no farther. Helm wheel spinning, spinning spinning, helm wheel spinning just like before. 'Tis a spinning wheel, looking real, just like it did before. A spinning reel, a knowing feel, that means there is no more.

    US1 Tuesday new nerversion spinning wheel.
    We don't need the wheel,
    we don't need the wheel.
    We don't need to have it 'round
    it's just a big ole reel.
    It can turn if not busy,
    or if I'm in a tizzy,
    otherwise it'll look fine
    on a rock in Madagascar.

    It might be necessary to hit the F5 button to reload your game. In addition, it may be necessary to close programs that may be running in the background. If you are a non-premium player, the advertisement must run before you will be able to log in to the game. If you have an ad blocker installed, the time for the video that should have played will probably need to expire, in most cases, before successful login to be possible.

    I have downloaded windows client to play Piratestorm but I encount lot of launch problems.
    Login is ok
    Next, lauching game do only display of page with helm and saying "downloading game" but no progress and no launch.

    I tried to re install game and same result !! If your client does not work dont force to install it !!!:mad:

    Please see the system requirements and suggestions for loading the game in the above post. At this time you may still access the game through a browser.

    To thee, fair Lady, I bend a knee and bare my head. The wheel spinning has ceased and life at sea resumes. I thankee kindly fer your assistance and patience. This old soul can still be taught a new trick.
