Build my Ship ! HELP

Hey guys i got few questions , I'm playing PS on the Test server and i can't figure how to get more than 6k dog .... iv'e see some people doing that and they do it on me 2 ((
I got 85 bombastic and 68 eagle = 153 cannons
85x19=1615 , 68x16=1088 + scrolls 6dmg(+ 10mg per bullet) per shot = 16x153=2448 => 5151 This is where i don't get it how do they make 7000 up to 10000dmg per shot , no critical and they do it every singel shot ... there is no shot under 7k

What have i missed ??

There are a few areas to consider when tryng to achieve a higher output of damage.
Ship type, Improvement Items, Cannons, Cannonball type, Captain's Orders, Scroll's of Power and Consumable items are some aspects to consider.

I got this impression that if you put quick shot on...you can do more damage....or is it so?

 

May I ask, what do you mean by quick shot? Do you mean a type of Cannonball or the 'Hawkin's Zeal' Captain's Order. You are correct, each cannonball has its own stat and some do more damage than others. Some Cannonball types also have higher critical stats than others resulting in both a greater chance for a critical hit and a greater critical hit bonus when used.

 

Yes I mean hawkins...I shoot 2k with stone cannonsballs and when I put Hawkins, I shoot 3 k with stone cannonballs....I mean same damage with same type of cannonballs but if I put hawkins, then I got more damage.

 

Enabling Hawkin's Zeal increases your rate of fire, which in turn would increase your over all damage dealt within a set amount of time. To the best of my knowledge this Captain's order doesn't affect the damage dealt per shot.

The 'Might of Lafittes' Captain's Order would affect damage per shot however.

 

i hear that if you increase your fire rate enough with usable items and Hawkins you can fire twice in one shot if you know what I mean. is this true?

 

Whilst it may appear that two shots are being fired at once this may be due to the speed at which content is displayed on your screen rather than being the case.

 

i meant you do the damage of 2 shots in 1.

 

No, you will only shoot faster witch is the effect of Hawkins seal, so it can look like you do twice the damage due the many shots.

 

]Prometeus[ is correct. Items that increase your rate of fire do not increase the damage done per shot.
