ADVERTISING GAME

Hello i know it costs money to advertise your game , but i think you will benefit from advertising your game on TV etc like putting your trailer on popular channels like bbc , itv etc. I believe you will gain a lot of players and make the servers more filled up once again Or even remind old players of the game

 

Blizzard Entertainment created short, animated "back stories" for Overwatch and are making bank right now. They busted records when it was released.

It doesn't have to be expensive advertising as in TV--put info out about the game on gamer sites with animated short videos and post articles about the "new" Pirate Storm on these sites or even Facebook. You are promoting that silly Angel Guardian game on FB and I bet that it will not do as well as PS could if BigPoint/Youzu would just WAKE UP.

Add a few new features that have been well received in other BigPoint games--do not tell me you haven't learned anything from Drakensang? Even Seafight which may have been the disaster that sank BP, had a few good points--the sea glitters for one.

ABOVE ALL---PS must combine servers in order to have enough players on at least one, stable server to accommodate an influx of players. If there is no one here, even with advertising and awesome vids, players will log on then leave. Forever.

Why do I feel like I am kicking a dead equine?

I'm pretty sure that BP/Y know exactly what they are doing and what they are doing is allowing PS to die. They have a disclaimer that they can end service at any time when you sign up for their premium plans. Everything is set to suck the last dime away from players. Then...shut it down.

Just once I would like to see a post in here from game development saying "yes, we are working on some exciting new additions to Pirate Storm" or some other dangling-carrot-drivel to at least assure us we are not orphans.

fixed arena so no chance to get a DOW, and even if arena is cleaned there will be 54 new DOW per year, people do the math and leave the game not even trying to get one because it is pointless, only the company things that the game finish when you get a DOW, it finish much much sooner than that,
guild deck and top 10 guilds, the new players are obsessed with that, and that dream becomes a nightmare, and another reason to stiop playing a lot sooner the game
battlegrounds broken algorithm with complete unbalanced teams, have turn away people from the battleground all together with people not even trying to do the 10 participations. 1 lunar protection is not a carrot for the majority of player to be put in a team with new players versus dow teams , and sink all the time.

and of course the no mercy bullying from artificially players that stay low to the new players, and sunk again and again and again and again until the give up the game

a game to survive needs new players
a company can not sustain a game by trying to keep the same old players playing and trying to make more money form them
we see how bad this model work for them in all of their games
the moto we not care for new players, we will just milk the players that joined the game
sea fight dead, dark orbit dead, pirate storm dead

i remember a big exit from dark orbit and the people coming in pirate storm because the game with the latest milk idea made it so ridiculous money driven all left it. there is an amount of money you can ask fro peopel to spend into a SPECIFIC GAME
even if a gamer is willing to spending more money in a year to games, that no means he wants to spent them all in a single game.

and since you mention blizard and warcraft
the company respects there the paying customer, it is not a free to play game you pay to play, and the game works perfect, no artificial limits ,no special things for few chosen one, you have the time to play the game you unlock and get everything

in a time we do not have arena matches
we do nto have battleground matches

what a new feature will give to us??

the lunar power, a limited power for only 13 people per year, i imagine the company things that 50 people playing the game is what they all need

2 months ago they give the new items in arena, another new feature another carrot for the old players
but i do not see the old players rejoining the game??

because these are not carrots,these new feature and especially the lunar power is a reason to quit playing the game not join the game
turning the game into gambling game for the dragon event to get the new deck and of course you could not because of the odds

are we playing an mmorg or we play an online casino?? and if piratestorm is changing into a casino do they have the legal permits to be an online gambling site??? because dragon event was pure gamble, put money buy the chips and play, and ohhh you looseee

but the same chosen ones in all the servers have the deck, and they tell so many wonderful stories that they played 1 times, 2 times , 10 times and they won, were you can find in the youtube videos of people spending more than 200 euro played the game and got 0 rewards.

and now we know there are people with lunar deck with dragon deck thats 30 cannons more
and the company has the nerve to ask money from me??

30 cannons is a huge difference and you can not compete
and you know what that what happened

the chosen one got the dragon deck
in the tournament they got all the medals
and in eu4 half of the people quit the game

the rest just stay in the ts because of the friendship and logging in and play 30 min or less
and of course no arena no battlegrounds

if you want people to spent money in the game make it equal
if not then just put the plug the game will not revive

as the game is a new players, play a bit construct a ship, buy a few seals, and more or less finished with the game

the game is a really good game as it is now but no one knows about it--if no one knows about it, no one comes to play and without other players new people will not stay.

And actually, I don't care if someone has 30 cannons more than I do--my style of fighting is not affected as I tend to choose targets, then hit them hard. Winning is not often decided by who has the most cannons or the most developed ship--it is who hits first when the opposition is not expecting. Also, if I don't sink someone the first time, I keep coming back until I do.
