I don't know if I'm the only one experiencing this issue so I ask other players to check, please. My amount of gold since my log in yesterday late in the evening appears in parenthesis and when I kill NPC I lose gold, when I repair the ship apparently I gain gold...pratically the Gold Counter is working totally inverted. Any suggestion from admins about this issue? So far I lost about 50 mil gold. If I keep playing I'll be broke in few days o_O . I thank anybody able to tell me something about this. Happy Sailing to y'all.

Well...I tried something funny, but it worked. I checked if using gold for buying stone cannonballs added or subtracted gold to my gold counter. It added till the amount I had lost and then the counter now works again properly. No more prenthesis. When I spend gold it gets subtracted, when I kill NPC it gets added. Just a note to BP to let them know about this bug.

  3. my gold counter has run backwards since i hit 2 billion -- kills do not add on

I passed the 2 billion mark few months ago, but it was working fine. Now it works again. I don't know what made it start running backwards after my last login. If you see your amount of gold in parenthesis try what I tried and it should work again properly. Buy gold items till the parenthesis are gone. You'll see it's going to be the same amount you had before it started working backwards.

i have kept my gold counter lower then 999 999 999 by buying gold items (balls etc) so now i can go to 1 999 999 999 this is good.

Update: apparently the gold counter is unable to cross the 2 billion and 148 million mark. At that point parenthesis appear around the gold amount and the counter starts going backwards. I have to buy some gold items to get it back working and when I reach the same amount over 2 billion and 147 million it happens again, and again, and again...definitely a bug. I hope Mr. Wedgewood ( :) ) can tell us something about this issue.

    Hi,

This is not so much a bug as a maximum limit. The game database cannot recognize any figure above the one you outlined above. If you cross this gold threshold the game database perceives the amount as a negative resulting in the inverted behavior you have experienced. The only thing you can do is spend gold on items before reaching this threshold to keep the amount you have below the limit.

Many games have currency limits however in some they can be higher than this. I'm afraid the only solution is to spend prior to reaching the limit and stop farming when you do reach it. Another important note to consider is that if you pass the limit you will also be unable to form or leave arena teams due to the negative figure.

    I hope this helps. :)

Exhaustive in a very positive way as usual, Wedgewood. Thank you for your post; it helps a lot since I didn't know about this gold limit and the consequences on arena teams. I'll treasure that. Thanks again. :)
