I'm a premium player for many years now, but since my renewal, I haven't been able to activate the travel mode in the whirlpool that takes you throughout the maps. Just wondering if other premium players are having the same problem. I'd contact BigPoint about this problem, but as we all know, BigPoint is not too responsive about much happening here or on their site in general! BigPoint, this has been a problem since my June renewal. Please consider this matter said.

  2. But they have no problem taking your money for premium :D

LOL! No kidding! The premium players are treated like Dog Doo. I did see a player use the whirlpool, so it does work. But I tried it again today and nothing. No wonder players are fed up and are leaving with all the crazy BS happening on this site! BigPoint needs to respond and take better care of their premium players. After all, we are PAYING them a good sum to play each year!

    Hi there,

Would you be so kind as to outline exactly what your process is when you attempt to activate the whirlpools? In doing so we may be able to solve the conundrum for you. It may seem silly me asking this as no doubt it is an obvious process however doing so could shed some light on your issue.

Sure, thank-you Wedgewood. When I enter the whirlpool and open the world map for traveling to other ports/places, the map pops up fine. There isn't the usual square tab in the middle that can be clicked on which activates travel to other ports/places. It's just blank and flat, giving just the names of ports I want to travel to without the square tab to click on. I've traveled to every port and tried every whirlpool that's out there with the same thing. No square tab to click onto for traveling. (My premium membership in June has been paid in full for the year. So it isn't lack of payment...Just saying, lol!) Hope that helps out, 'cause it's driving me nuts, lol! :)

This sounds like a display issue primarily SeaWolf101. Would you kindly confirm that you have followed the troubleshooting procedures of clearing cache and flash cache? Additionally, the reason you were under the impression it was related to your premium, was this due to the fact this started occurring once you had renewed your premium?

I have cleared all cache and flash cache. That was the first thing I did. It started the second week in June around and about the time of my premium renewal. Pure coincidence I'm sure. (I just wanted BigPoint to know my Membership was paid in full in case there was a question about that). It's just weird that using the same computer, one day everything is fine and I could 'travel the seven seas' without a single problem. The next day, nothing. I just went in-game to see if maybe it was working. The same thing. I tried Hydro Crystals to travel, and they don't work either.

    Thanks for the information SeaWolf101.

Here are a few things that you may feel free to do or not do. These are only ideas / suggestions. I recognize that each of the below suggestions may seem drastic however I can only suggest ideas / solutions unfortunately. If you have already followed the other troubleshooting procedures and tried on another browser (which no doubt you have) then these steps could be possible means of resolving your issue.

This may be irrelevant but as I'm sure you can imagine we must use a process of elimination to find a solution. It appears that on the 14th of July there was a critical flash update. It is possible that this flash update is the cause of your problem as it may have resulted in a corrupted file. Whilst this may seem like a chore it may be wise to clean install your flash player and plugin to ensure there has been no corrupted flash registry / other flash files. If you are unsure of how to do a clean install adobe has this information on their site and have a special script for doing just that.

There is also another possible means of identifying / resolving this issue. If you are using windows 7 or other similar operating system you could do a 'restore system to an earlier date' setting the date to very early in July or the most recent time you remember being able to use the portal system. If you choose this option be sure to set a new system restore point before doing so so that you can easily return you computer to the state it is currently. This feature of windows does not affect your personal files but will affect windows files. It will also notify you of any programs that will be affected by the roll back.

I hope this was of help! :)

Thanks for the help, Wedgewood. :) Unfortunately all of which I've done. I have uninstalled and installed the latest Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Air. (Those are the ones we use for serious gaming both online and offline, and do keep up with all the time, lol!) I've cleaned out everything and even downloaded and ran the latest Adobe Flash Player 8.1 debugger, just in case. (I'm running on Windows 8.1 and IE is the only browser that works right, if that helps). After the latest Adobe Flash Player and Adobe Air were installed, the little square thingy did appeared once, but disappeared again when clicked. It was the first time I saw the little square show up after the new Adobe things were installed and the debugger was run. Looks like the problem may be somewhere at my end, where I got the little square to show up this time. Anyway, I'll keep working on it and get to the bottom of it someday and in some way.
It's driving me nuts having to slowly sail around the maps and plan very carefully what missions to do along the way, lol!
ARRGG! Don't you just love COMPUTERS at times!!!...Just saying, lol!

Ah! Well I'm glad to hear that it showed up once at least. This may be a clue as to where the issue lies. Depending on what type of adobe flash install you used there may still be some registry files left that were corrupted but not replaced upon install. May I ask, when you uninstalled flash did you do so from the program list on your operating system of via the adobe uninstaller? Sorry for all the questions! The reason I ask is that the uninstaller on the site should completely clear all related reg entries whilst doing the uninstall from your program file list will potentially not address everything.

You are so kind to help me. No problem about the questions. It'll help get to the bottom of things. I uninstalled all Adobe things today by the system's (computer's) uninstall/install program. Turned off the computer. Don't know why, just thought it would help, lol. Then went to the Adobe site and downloaded Adobe's things back on. Not even a sign of the little squares today. I'll go back to Adobe's site and uninstall and install everything from there. We'll get to the bottom of this one yet, lol! :) Pretty sure the right Adobe Flash was 8.1 where I'm running on Windows 8.1 Thank-you so much for the help, Wedgewood!

Not a problem whatsoever! Glad that I can maybe be of assistance. Rather than uninstalling it via your computers program list download the uninstaller from adobe as it will also clean out the adobe registry files. I will find a link and post it here shortly. :)
