Pirate Storm Team Feedback

I would like to give my point of view on the Pirate Storm Team though experience both on the forum and in the game. But first of all, I would like to comment on the support and forum moderators. The support and especially the forum moderators have actually been very great. Both support and moderators are very fast to respond, with a precise polite answear. But a answear that comes very frequently is ''we're looking into it''.

There is nothing wrong with that answear, but it makes me think, does a connection between the moderators/the playerbase and the development team exist.

My point of view is that the connection between the community and the development team is almost nonexistent.

First of all, the game have some rumors about exploiting in arena called (edit), which have created much debat on the forum and quite a few says that it is ruining the game. Its then strange to see, that not a single comment have been made form a person of authority. There have been some bans in arena, but not anything to give us enlightenment, like ''It is a exploit, we're looking into'' or ''It is just rumors, but we're checking our program for some adjustments to keep you satisfied'' or ''there isnt a problem''. Pushing is a big strange rumor(fact?) that the Pirate Storm team have no excurse to not comment on.

Futhermore the forum outrage on the lag. The forum masters is very supportive, but the Pirate team crew says absolutely nothing. When I play a game, Im very interested in what is causing the lag. If a person on the forum says (with years of experimance in IT) that the Pirate Strom servers is the cause, I would like an explanation from the team to why it is lagging. The forum only receive with a message saying ''we have lag''.

Current update and annouments. Yes, we received a letter saying that 2015 will be a great year for Pirate Storm, the team is working on ''x'' and ''y''. But there are no other comments on it. I would like to hear: Why they are implating it, is there any deadlines, what kind of BG's other stuff are their working on, whats happening, no comment on proces? They are very, very quite about what they are working on and when it comes, it comes as a shock, not a feature we're been very excited to see.

Then we got other problems and issues (take a look down the ''current updates and bug fixes'' and see for yourself''). They are apologizing for all of it, but it is becoming a classic. It is like getting stomped on the feet all the time and get an excuse for it. They need to write an officiel excuse, so that the community knows that the problems means something to them, not just ''ooh we got a bug, sorry for that''.

Im sorry to say it, but for me, it looks like they got no passion for the game. Only to add semi-bugged features to milk us even harder. They need to wake up and start communicating to the playerbase more frequently, but also with more 'feelings and thoughts''.

And if it's not to much to ask, I would like this review to be sent by a moderator to the development team and read by a person of authority, not just a forum moderator, but one especially from the development team and hear their opinion on the matter.

 

I agree to Frank. This Lag & freezing for minutes at a time issue cannot be ignored and I feel like that is what is taking place. There are too many threads and complaints regarding this lag and freeze issue that started back at the end of November. I have been playing several years and have always dealt with the normal game lag. This is something different and the players are not getting a response. Some technical feedback would be appreciated.

 

i want to add
that some players in some specific guilds seem unaffected from the lag at all

and by the way this players are the (edit) in my server

while in battleground frozen for 30 sec
to see i am sink and then move 3 sec to freeze again
our beloved random team finished the battleground in a great time

how is possible spanish players have lag
german players have lag
greek players have lag


but he arena (edit) players in the server are lag free

 

cant find another place to say this about the battlefield but why dont you have a filter on the people playing
ie if they havent got 300 coins they go to the head of the line to get into the bf
hello if I dont get 100 coins im not gonna buy the deck and if I dont get 300 coins I'm not gonna buy the eagle set
want me to spend diamonds better help me unlock some coins by letting me play rather than getting rolled

i can help with alot of wha yall are discussing
1st the lag, thee was Alsways some lag, but since about November the lag is horrible and not what it used to be, i also would like to know why it hasnt been fixed or improved in some manner.
2nd is the arena's , yes there is (edit) unfortunately( i wil Not say who or how, but only the why's) it is Very easy to see who is (edit) just by looking at the amount of matches played vs matches won all the time looking at how many other teams have played and how many matches they won, vs how many teams have 0 wins but have played alot of matches, its not hard to see it and to tel who is doing it, one would of thought that (edit) , but then some continued to , then at this sean a cple more got a weeks( again Not saying who or what guild), this did Not Deter more from(edit), as you can currently see form the matches won( i mean how can so many have wins but yet very few have any losses, but yet there is a Boatload with 0 wins and played 5-10-20 matches and Never won a single 1, Hoe this helps as far as arena's
next I agree Wedgewood is Awsome at responding to us but to get any word form anyone else is about impossible( i dont know of anytime in 2+ yeaars of playing that anyone other than Fluffkins told us much of anything( i guess they want things to be a surprise or something, but having something form them would be very nice and it would also let us know they are working on things and atleast what they are trying to correct and how they trying to make the game better.
I wish that a few would play in our server and then they would see first hand the issues we are having, and it would show the players that there is interest in the things we say and the issues we bring up

UP YOURS, the issue of smaller players getting rolled in BF's has been an on going issue as well, and if you go to general feedback then to why doesnt BP fix BF's you will see a thread on the subject and many ideas on how it could be fixed rather simply( so no need for me to explain all those in this thread), jusst know that this is 1 of things that I personally am trying to get fixed along with how the teams seem to be one sided many many matches and many of the ideas suggested would fix most of this...

And again thank you WedgeWood for replying to us and doing all the things that you do for us, I understand that there is limited things you yourself are able to do, all we ask it that our concerns be passed onto those that can and will help with the issues presented

 

I agree with all of you, something needs to be done about the connection between us players and the developers, I think it would be a good idea if the developers did a "video log" each week, I have seen this work well on other games and this way we would know exactly what is going on with the development of the game. I think this would greatly strengthen the relationship between players and the developers.

 

That's a pretty good idea, actually the best idea I have heard. Yeah, that would work or maybe if its to much work, a issue tracker (a list where they display all issue, process and so on) will do just fine. But I definitely video log.

 

I posted this on another thread (The Lag and Logging into the Game) but wanted to keep up with this one as well I'm am not sure what else needs to be said? It appears that BP is non-responsive to everyone that has called support in regards to this issue on the US1 Server. I have posted many times with detail description hoping to get answers from other players as to what the issue could be. I understand that this is a forum and not Technical Support. However, this is our only means of communicating our issues and yet, no response from Technical Support or anyone with high level of authority running this Game. The issue is definitely with US1 Server. If I log out and in to Europe, Deutschland, Arabia? No issue. Come back to US1 server and freeze for minutes at a time, Features drop in and out, Live chat is lost? Trouble logging in even. Very Strange how it only affects certain players and not others.

If I hear clear Flash Cache one more time, I will lose my mind. We want some one from BP, with a technical background, to notify us exactly what the issue is with the US1 Server and what is being done about it? Either via email, or here on this forum. "Clear your Cache", "We are aware of the Problem", is not satisfactory anymore. Paying Customers want answers and we are not getting them? Normal companies go above and beyond to keep their customers happy and to actually retain the customer base they have? Doesn't appear to be the mentality for BP, at least on the US1 side. I get no response that shows me any indication that anything is being done. People who have put several years of playing time into this game are going to walk away. BP has offered no compensation, no technical communication explaining the issue/resolution. Zero communication back to loyal customers who demand a response.

Wow I tend to agree with everyone on here. However I do not experience as much lag as some others do. However, I would love to see someone from development or authority at BP making more announcements.

I feel that the announcement that came on Facebook about changes in 2015 was just a bogus hoax to make us keep playing and trying to get us to keep spending diamonds.

Supposedly the new DJ BF is supposed to be a great thing however there are so many complaints about it that it probably will be another thing that most people do not want to play, but yet there is nothing in the forums or Facebook page about this.

I would just like to see more active players and start having fun at this game....yes this is a GAME!

There are so many ideas on the forums about how to improve this game but it feels as though nobody at BP is listening. Maybe it is the fact that this game and SeaFight are older games fro BP and there is nobody at the company that wants to deal with a game that has issues.

 

Im refreshing this theard again. First of all because many of us still have lag, second the game missing updating, third the new bugs and the old ones. I have stopped playing the game and im just looking at the forum from time to time, waiting for a message saying ''The game will no longer receive any updates'. Im disappointed in BP, they just let this game die. Im also waiting to see if BP are keeping their promises.

 

They will not.. If you want proof go to a game of theirs called Deepolis... we were told about a complete overhaul of the current map and some of the features years ago.. yet there has only been 2-3 minor updates since the announcement. They will do the same thing with this game.

I love this game and the people (even the mods ), but the company is one of the worst I've ever seen.
