New Avatars

I notice there are a bunch of new avatars for sale.
Do they do anything? I'm assuming these are what Big Point calls "player screens"
According to the Help screen:
Under Player Profile Selection:
Select your player screen at the beginning of the game. No worries, the selection is not always specified. During the course of the game, you can change the player screens again, when you buy additional player screens.
Caution: You will have to play first to unlock some of the player screens. Each of the player screens offers you varying characteristics, which will provide you with advantages during the game. You can switch freely between the player screens that you bought.

 

Yes it would be nice if a chat mod or admit could give us the information on what the varying characteristics are. Or do are we expected to buy them all and figure it out?

 

wait they give bonuses??? i thought it was just a asthetic thing you could buy if you wanted

Yeah agree, what is this sentence suggesting? I havn't heard anything about giving a advantage?

The last time I asked a question and Wedgewood told me he was enquiring about it and would get back to us was over a year ago (I poked him about it 2 months after I asked and he told me he was still looking into it). Still haven't heard back about that one, and don't have high hopes that this question will be answered either.

 

If many players talk here and keep this alive the devs need to listen (hopefully)

To the best of my understanding, yes, currently all avatars are statistically equal ]Prometeus[. I'm afraid I cannot say whether this feature is going to be introduced as such decisions are made by the development team. If such a change is going to take place there will be an announcement made.

 

So if they might not ever implement the varying characteristics, yet they are charging for the avatars! And not one price, different prices, some Diamond, some Gold! That is not right. Should of not been implemented yet then should not charge for them. Again spend for nothing is just not fair to your players! Some of us don't or are not able to buy with real money, and have to work hard at the game for everything we get. To have us spend something again for nothing is not in the best interest of the players, only for BP.

 

What I object to is the help message claiming there are benefits (albeit unnamed benefits) to the various avatars, and it not being implemented. That's false advertising---either put in some benefits, or change the help message. (And ideally give people a chance to return their avatars for a refund).

 

Yes delete that help message please, many ppl probly bought an diamant avatar to see if it gives a bonus

 

It is not in my power as a Forum Admin to make such decisions and changes however I can certainly forward this to the appropriate people.
