Friends bonus maps?

Hello, I'm trying to figure out how the Companion Round and Bands of Friends bonus maps work...I have plenty of people in my friend list but I don't see how to invite them to do the map with me?

Well the translation in the game needs an oscar. There are 2 kind of friends in the game. The friends you make in the game by sending a friend request. And also you have an option to give an email address of a friend of yours they will get an email saying you invite them to play the game with you. If they join the game then you have a "friend'. Which is funny because in your friend list are called novice.
So this 2 maps you need novice to unlock them. I do not get it they have the difirent name in the game why when it come down in the missions they use the same name and all confusion break loose?

These maps are unlocked by meeting the specified requirements outlined in the description for the bonus maps.

The first is unlocked and made available for play once you have 5 'novices' and they all have frigates. A novice being a player invited to the game from external sources via the invite a friend feature in game.

The second map is unlocked once you have 10 'novices' all with Large Frigates.
