Why is it that a Class 4 level 2 launcher upgrades to a Repeating launcher that is not as good?

  2. Because "officially" it is a better class of launcher. Why? I have no idea. I never bothered with a superior upgrade of a class 4 unless I had the 27 copper on hand to upgrade a repeating launcher to a trebuchet.
Not a very good answer but about the only one I ever saw.
The Class 4 level 1 is not as good as the Scorpion either so it is quite a mess following the upgrade path.

    Hi,

Thank you Fred_Filthy for your help. Superior upgrades can initially reduce the stats of the weapon being upgraded as each new weapon type begins at level one, whilst before superior upgrade the weapon was level 2 or 3. It would be better to compare each weapon type with the next at the same level. Furthermore, each superior upgrade brings you one step closer to having the best weapon type available via the workshop.

It is up to each player to assess the costs involved in upgrading a weapon and whether they deem it appropriate to their own individual situation.

Is there anything else we can help you with? :)

  4. Hi Wedgewood,
I understand your point but you gotta admit the Repeating Launcher is simply a dud at any level. :)

I am afraid I cannot offer my personal opinion on this as my role is to provide impartial answers to players' queries and solutions to common problems. :)

It's up to the player to determine whether they prefer higher damage over lower scatter, in this specific scenario.

  6. Properly diplomatic. :)
