Replace Might of the Winter

Is it better to have the Summer Might set or should I keep the Might of the Winter set?

 

From my point of view it dependes on witch ship you talkong of, on the blizzard witch is a part of the winter packade it's not better, then you should only att the new item (The mast). an all other ships it's better and give you more cannons.
But mayby i'm wrong?

The Summer set offers a greater amount of H.P and an additional 12 Cannons when the complete set is combined on any ship. However as has been pointed out by TheHammer, the Blizzard, being part of the 'Might of the Winter' set may be an inappropriate choice of ship for adding the 'Summer's Might' set to as in doing so you could loose the bonus rewarded by having a complete 4 piece winter set.

BP just (edit) everyone who bought the winter set for multiple ships by introducing the summer set. I have ships with the winter set i will not be upgrading unless BP upgrades the winter set with a 4th item making it equal to the summer set (i.e. 12 cannon issue). Making two sets nearly identical, and introducing the second set after clients bought the first inferior set is a nasty business model.

 

There are already 4 items to the Might of the Winter set. These items will give you the extra 12 cannons and 2500 extra hp, but only on the Blizzard ship. Items are as follows... Artic Keel, Frost-rimed Sail, Icicle Rudder, and Blizzard ship.

There was much discussion about the items before the event started and Wedgewood fielded all the questions like a champ. It was made clear in the discussions that the winter set would only be complete as stated above. No other ship other then the Blizzard would have the 12 extra cannon slots. Sorry you thought differently.

I dont believe that those who may not have read the forums to know about the items and what the bonuses were should be compensated in any way. Yes forums can be a bore and some dont like to read them, but, its also those people who get upset. Information is a powerfull thing and all the information regarding this was here in the forums for all to see.

 

Even without the forum it was pretty clear that the only way to get full advantage of the winter set was to have the Blizzard. Putting it on other boats was clearly an inferior option(though I found it useful on an additional boat until I replaced it with the Summer set). Frankly, if BP wants to keep creating newer and better sets I do not see how that is such a bad thing. Keeps things from becoming to static and dull.

You can always decide to hold out and wait for better, I generally choose to get the best I can afford now IF it will help me get the next upgrade.
