AHAB Ship

The Ahab ship is a great monster hunter.
It was made a bit too strong though with its 30% less damage taken AS A MONSTER HUNTER.
I believe it was made without much practical trials vs fighting ships.
Not much rationale/motivation for a player to bust their rump in arena trying for a Destroyer when an AHAB can be bought and outfitted and progressed to L50 with the HP its has.

Add the buffs and it becomes a very potent fighter, not so much 1v1 against a Glad or Destroyer, but when combined in 2v2 or 3v3 it gives advantage to team possessing it.

Would be hard to lessen it and considered unfair to the players who have one.

But how about a buff or useable item that negates its 30% less damage taken for a period of time then?

By making the AHAB the way it is, BP has taken away from the ones who fought hard to achieve
a level of superiority with their fighting ships WON IN THE ARENA.

If was SUPPOSED to be a Monster Hunter....
Make it one.
Or allow others to temporarily make it as BP originally intended it to be...A Monster Hunter.
And not a fighter that anyone can buy.

 

So a ship that every can take you are complaining that is a good ship?? And all that for a ship that no one will take??? With 9 dows given every arena season and arena season lasting 2 months thats 54 new possibly dows in the game. Which if you consider how many people play the game practically means there will be very few of them in the game. The resistance is given to ahab to compensate for its few cannons. Any way ahab is hard to kill is not the super ship in arena. People only complain because they will spent too much ammo to kill it and it will ruin their average damage in the end. Ahab is maxed out 92 cannons. Gladiator is maxed out 171 cannons. even if we take out the 30% of its cannons because of the more resistance of the ahab that will be 51 cannons
so it will be 92 cannons versus 120 cannons. SO yes ahab will be sinked every time. Thats what you already know and say
in arena 1x1 ahab is a looser because it is made to be a looser. In 2x2 and 3x3 team coordination is rather more important and makes it not possible to draw correct results about the ships involved. 1x1 is safer to draw conclusions about how powerful a ship is.
IF you done your math you would see that ahab is so weak that even the pirnaha will give him a hard time
piranha 132 cannons -30% of the special ability 40 cannons off so it will be 92 cannons so it will have the same fire power of the ahab.
Ahab will have a run for its life and only the 4k more will save it in arena 1x1.
Any ship better than piranha will be alway better than ahab and it always sink it.

And we are always talking about same built ships, with using same items, same cannons and same level of seal so the comparison is fair. If we want to start the a fully built ship versus a new player with nothing built
well then even a sloop can kill them so what that makes sloop the best ship in game?? and we should cut its stats???

DOW owners stop complaining. And really if the dow is that fantastic then why you post this message and just go get one???
SO your logic is a ship i can have now and it is super i want it to be weaken so because i dream of having a ship i will never have it can sink it easier??
Guys it is simple if aahb is the best ship then built ahab. If dow is still the best ship go for the dow. If ahab make a dow spent more ammo deal with it and spent it. You are th lucky ones to have a dow and we are talking with you all the time that you spent 3k of ammo to kill ahab when you spent 1.5k to kill any other ship lol

No. Not complaining. Just stating an opinion based on observing the AHAB since its inception.
What you take as complaining is exactly that..... what you think.
Yes, I earned my Destroyer.
No, I haven't any problem facing an AHAB in the arena and actually prefer it, it ALL ARENAS.
If you would have taken the post for its intent instead of railing against some unknown fear you have, I simply stated that if the AHAB is a Monster Hunter, make it a Monster Hunter.
It has gained UNINTENDED advantage.

And yes, it some events it does give extra advantage to a team that has some, Capture the Flag and Dominion because they can carry the flag much longer and harder to get them out of the fortress ring.

And yes, it is a slight to players who fought and earned the Best ship in the game by allowing anyone to buy an AHAB in its current setting.

And you need not worry and me spending my gold or diamonds on ammo, its none of your business.

But hey, its my post and all opinions are welcome.

i agree - the intention was to make a monster ship & it has gained unintended advantage
many come in full blood [ Ahab - approx 52 k hp & start shooting all users even in zone
& yes 1v1 arena ahab can be won easily
2v2 - ahab if we start hitting it [ consumes time & his partner has time to kill us
3v3 also, ahab gets the damage suffered & other 2 ships in his team easily kill us

yes i agree - if it is made to be a monster ship - [ let its capacity be like a monster ship
now-a-days all ahab r hunting user ships in zone & port war than hunting monsters

 

and why you shoot the ahab??
start shooting the other ships
if you make an error and shoot the ships that is less threat thats your problem not the team
usually in arena you start killing the strongest in the team if you want to win
or else start killing the weakest
you spent all your time with the ship that does the less damage and you leave the big ships shoot you
and then you wonder what exactly????
thats why people shoot first the dows in battleground because if it is left it can sink all the enemies.
ahab is perfect as it is
and really a ship you can have you complain that it is strong???
ahahahahh maybe we should not allow people use special ammo when they have a devastator
and make fun of us i have seen a devastator win the medal form a dow so what it means??
devastator is the best ship in game?
in 3x3 arena i was in a team and there was a alone a devastator and we lost
lets ban devastator from arena because it is the super ship

ahab is a weak ship and it is a special ship and is perfect as it is
if it is so perfect then go built one and become also super strong plain and simple
but it is not a super ship
just people complaining for spending too much ammo on it

and even if it a super ship it was about time the game had a ship everyone can have
vivo you do not have a dow and you will never get one
so you want what exactly??
if there is a super ship for all you should be the first to defend it

but as you both admitted ahab is no super ships because in 1x1 when you see what a ship worths you kill it
play better in 2x2 and 3x3
and then you will see that ahab teams are beaten

so players coming in arena and face a fully build piranha or a gladiator or an event ship
that smash new players trying to get gladiator is okey to you??
you start from complaining that ahab is a better ship than dow even if a dow always kill an hab in 1x1
and now you are conserned about the really new players trying to get a gladiator and they face ahab in arena??
this players they are so weak it does nto matter what they face cause they loose
i help people in 2x2 to get gladiator i enter with piranha and kil both of the others not ahab needed and all with iron no special items used.
so if you were truly for the new players as you say now (first you cried about dow owners)
you would said thank it is ahab and thy can get gladiator easier

The fact remains that any ship fully outfitted on an account with full seals will be a tough opponent. The ahab as it is gets no skulls or pvp for sinking an opponent and is limited to 92 guns with full unsinkable decks (96 with storm deck and 108 max with blood moon deck). My frost fully outfitted (without blood moon deck as I won't re-mortgage my home to get one ) has 167 guns and I sink ahabs for PG all the time in my piranha which only has 132 guns.

Ironically, the ahab is a bought ship but then again so are most of the ships acquired in the game and anyone can get one. In the end, the game has a significant pay to win element and there will always be players who will pay to win and i suspect that is your real argument. Even if you change or remove the ahab, it still won't remove that factor!

 

is very simple, this is a pirate game. A pirate ship will be a pirate ship, it wont have nuclear bombs . As a pirate u must have cannons and launchers to attack and defend your ship. So it wont be a ship with 1 purpose only. So let ahab be as it is. U feel ahab is good and reliable ship then u buy one. Everybody is free to buy even a 1 day player. Is very fair to me.
