Symbols in writing styles help people express themselves. I think they should be added to the game again.

 

Agree, they represent the history and beginnings of this game, payers should get punished for using them.

Hello, good afternoon. I'm a player on the LATAM1 server and I'd like to know why we can't use nicknames with characters? For example, I'd like to use my old nickname ŇΔŘỮŦØ™, but if I do, I'll be banned from the game! Now tell me, which rule of the T&Cs am I breaking?

 

Allow nicknames, allow symbols, as before, it doesn't hurt anyone.We miss the old symbols and names. Is there a chance you can fix this?

 

- So if i put a name with special symbols allowed still nowadays i'll get banned as well , even if system allows 'em. How's that possible?
For example, symbols like '' ৩ † ꕥ εïз '' can still be used, but if I used them and someone reported it, support would probably ban me. I don’t understand what the problem is, given the money we still casually spend on premium in a game where now only the veterans play, and let’s remember, in 2025, I find it unthinkable that something so 'trivial' is actually such a big problem for you. -

Ban names that would offend players or be illegible, but what harm would using the star symbol do to anyone? We've seen that you've taken good steps recently. Allow the use of certain symbols again. You can ban a problematic name when it's used. We want you to take action on this issue. We miss the old names. Thank you.

 

Most of us play purely for the nostalgia. We’re not asking for anything unreasonable — just the ability to use our former usernames and express ourselves the way we used to. Back when the game was at its peak, even the more edgy or offensive names weren’t banned. The community has helped keep this game alive all these years; it would mean a lot to give long-time, peaceful sailors something back in return.
