  1. am i right to assume the smugglers bay auction is not meant to go from 00.00.00 time remaining and jump back up after being on that time for 3 seconds after it has completed?

was bidding on the corona deck when it went to complete then decided to bounce back up

    EU4

    thanks

    Ahoy DevineHades,

Occasionally, a player may see on their screen a countdown to 0, but others then bid on the item. This happens with delays and may be a reflection of how fast your computer refresh time is. Slower computers tend to have more lag than others. If you receive a notification that you have won, and are unable to collect, then take a screenshot and send it to support.

  3. it was on 0 for a solid 3-5 seconds

and everything else i bid on updates instantly so not an issue with delay

    Ahoy DevineHades,

Perhaps you should refresh your computer. An indicator of how fast you are connecting is to hit the "i" button on your keyboard. This will give you the Frames Per Second (FPS). It should display in the top left corner of your screen. The FPS should run in the 40-48 range to not experience any lag in your system. If you can't see the popup, try sailing out of port and then hitting "i".

I'm afraid that is all the advice I can give. Yes, 3-5 seconds does appear to be a long time.

    Happy Sailing!

  5. yeah i have a full set up im moving at about 120+ fps this just feels like a nice middle finger from the game to any player who gets a 1 off lucky chance at anything

    Ahoy DevineHades,

You are very welcome! This type of issue does happen from time to time.

120+ FPS seems to be awfully high. You may have skipped over the FPS number and looked to the MEM info. Sometimes the FPS will also drop when near other boats, other npcs, etc. These things will also affect your lag.

    Good Luck!

  7. running at 50 fps been doing this auction from port

Why are you talking about fast and slow computers like this is a bug in the game and it has been around for years ...

  9. so this is happened to other players before? good to know

    Ahoy raidmax,

The particular issue discussed is not a "bug" issue. There are many bugs, but seeing a "O" and others being able to bid is simply a delay in information processing.

    Happy Sailing!

  11. so it rly is just a big middle finger xD

    Ahoy DevineHades,

I guess to the player that experiences this, it would appear so.:)

I guess this is also a good time to close this thread!

If you experience the issue again, its always a good idea to take a screenshot. Then, report to support.

    Happy Sailing & Good Luck!
